Princess de Lamballe 20th century French miniature on ivory. Beautiful painting of Marie-Therese-Louise de Savoie-Carignan, Princesse de Lamballe. Born September 8th, 1749, Turin, Piedmont, Italy and passed September 3rd 1792 in Paris. She married at the age of 17 to Louis Alexandre de Bourbon=Penthievre, Prince of Lambelle, the heir to the greatest fortune in France. The marriage lasted a year during which time she became the intimate companion of Queen Marie-Antoinette of France. She was murdered by a crowd during massacres of the French Revolution in September 1792.
